Completing an insurance sale online with EZBuy takes just 10-15 minutes as compared to the 1½ - 2 hours (including drive time) needed to complete a typical insurance sale in an agent’s office. EZBuy doesn’t require any additional software in order to function. EZBuy can be used independently by agents or brokers or can be installed on an insurance carrier’s or comparative rater’s website. Once producers initiate an EZBuy deal, they can seamlessly obtain signatures and collect the down payment in one fell swoop. Sales closing ratios improve with EZBuy because producers can capture a customer when talking to them on the phone and avoid the risk of a "no show" that is common to scheduled office appointments. Plus, producers and carriers alike love the fact that EZBuy allows a producer to view the documents and a customer’s progress remotely on their computer while simultaneously assisting the customer over the telephone. Pedigree

Most off-the-shelf e-signature solution products on the market today were designed for use in the banking, mortgage and real estate industries. Little to no consideration was given to the dynamics of other industries or for selling insurance. The results have been cookie cutter; one size fits all e-signature solution products that don’t completely fulfill an insurance user’s needs. Those products may be fine for getting a basic signature. But they fall way short when it comes to properly completing an insurance application and committing an insurance customer to buy. Their features are minimal, they require an insurance producer to extensively modify their sales behavior and they do not seamlessly fit into existing electronic processes like insurance rating engines or agency management systems. Since all insurance risks are different from one another, a producer must be able to maneuver around an unfamiliar workflow with these off-the-shelf e-signature solutions in order to get all the needed items completed. Additionally, these types of e-signature solutions have no capabilities for electronically collecting a down payment or simultaneously viewing with the customer. Simply put, these off-the-shelf e-signature solutions would be better described as "off-the-cuff".

By contrast, EZBuy was conceived and designed by retail insurance people who have actually sold tens of thousands of real insurance policies and who know firsthand the day to day selling challenges that insurance agents, brokers and carriers encounter. Our design team set out to develop an online process that comes as close as possible to having a customer sitting across the desk from an agent or broker. The result is a flexible and robust platform that can display anything that needs to be signed. It can even be set to filter certain insurance risks. Our design team even considered those small things that are big things to a producer. As an example, producers don’t like explaining something on a form that can’t be viewed with the customer. But it’s no problem because EZBuy has the EZView feature that allows the producer and customer to see the same form at the same time online, as if they were sitting down at the same desk. EZBuy also allows an agent to see the customer’s responses while they are completing the signing process online thus allowing an agent to spot a potential problem early in the sale. All the while, the producer can carry on a conversation with the customer over the phone like they would as if the customer were sitting at the producer’s desk. Of course, those of us who have actually sold a real insurance policy know that a customer is committed to buy only when the payment is collected and not just at the signing. That’s why our design team knew it was important to include an online payment process that can collect the money and route it instantly to the proper trust account at the end of signing. This lessens the chance of a customer backing out of a sale which can occur if the agent is still waiting for the down payment. Plus EZBuy is not meant to be a standalone process, like other e-signature solutions, and blends into existing workflows for better productivity. No other e-signature solution package comes with either the insurance heritage or the seamless insurance functionality found in EZBuy.
